TIEM Gives Back 2021

Published in News on Nov. 3rd, 2021

This Giving Tuesday, we're rounding up our efforts over the past year in hopes to inspire and encourage others to consider ways they can give back too. Today can be a great opportunity for us all to educate and research how to make an impact within our own communities. As a company, it's one of our core missions to give back to causes we care deeply about. After diving even deeper into give-back initiatives in 2020, we feel strongly about championing these causes and more year-round to keep the momentum going.

This past year we've focused on social justice issues, women's equity, and cancer research; raising over $250,000 in donations.

Lilac for Girl Up

Our first ever purple shoe! Launched in honor of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, this highly requested color is in support of Girl Up. The Girl Up community is a global movement of inspired young women leaders who defend gender equality. We are so proud to stand with Girl Up in the fight for equal rights, access, and opportunies for every girl. Since the shoes launch in March, 10% of the Lilac Slipstreams sales have (& will continue to be) donated back to Girl Up.

In celebration of Women's History Month, we highlighted fierce #FemaleFounders in our own community, as well. Applauding their strength and grit throughout the past year. You can see our #LeadLikeHer campaign round-up here.

Coral & Blush Pink for BCRF

Two Shoes, One Cause. For the past 5 years we've been partnering up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to join the fight to be the end of breast cancer. This past October we doubled down and instead of launching just one pink shoe, we came out with two. 10% of the purchase price of each Coral Slipstream and Blush Pink Latus sneaker is donated directly back to BCRF.

Beyond the shoes, we hosted a series of charity in-person and online workout classes across the country that raised awareness and donations for BCRF. Click here to read about some of our past events and view participating studios.

Inspiring Action

Passionate about supporting Black/Brown women entreprenurs, Black Girl Ventures creates a space where dreams have the possibility of becoming a reality. As a female-founded company ourselves, we were inspired and delighted to learn about the work being done by Black Girl Ventures. It was inspriring to learn about their mission and see their dedication to creating space for these bright minds.

For the entire month of February in 2021, 5% of shoe sales were donated back to Black Girl Ventures. All women deserve the opportunity to realize and chase their dreams.
