With an early background in athletics, a degree in Exercise Science and Sport Nutrition, and experience with competitive boxing- this Australian native has carried her passion for physical fitness from 1:1 training to the boutique fitness world. Lany loves being able to impact people on a bigger scale and share how exercise can lead you to a happier, healthier life. What is the most important thing you have learned during your time as a fitness instructor?
The importance of creating an experience not only a workout. Providing a mind-body-soul meaningful experience to make an impact not only in class but after! To empower class goers. Letting the lessons of building mental and physical strength through training translate to the rest of their day.
How does training in the Latus elevate your workout?
It makes me feel excited to get moving. For me it’s a whole experience! If I'm excited to move, I will perform at my best!
What advice would you give to someone going to their first Box Union class?
Bring your willing mindset, open heart and playful spirit. Be ready for a challenge and mind-body experience.
What inspires you to be active?
To feel good, healthy, confident and mentally strong.
Where do you get your playlist inspiration from?
Different cultures! I love having an international mix of music genres! Reggaeton, SOca, dance hall, hip hop etc...

When you aren't at the studio, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Going for a hike, laying out on the beach, rollerblading, reading a book, hanging with friends!

Don’t fight it, fight through it! In it to WIN it! Train with a attitude of a champion and a hustle of a underdog.

When I sing to the lyrics but don’t get the right words lol.

Most people think of July 4th as the official start of summer, but in the Boston area it also means time to start seriously training for the Pan Mass Challenge. The PMC is an epic two-day bike ride and fundraiser that brings thousands of people together to raise millions of dollars for cancer research at Dana Farber.
On March 8th, 2023 several indoor cycling studios across the nation hosted fundraising rides to support various non-profits of their choice focused on women’s equity and empowerment. Today, we're proud to feature two of these studio owners to hear more about their stories as a female entrepreneur!
