Walk out of class like a queen // 6 Products to Use After a Workout

Published in How To on Nov 17, 2016

Does this ever happen to you? You leave the bike, treadmill or yoga mat feeling like an athletic goddess but by the time you exit the studio that post-workout grime and sweat has got you down.

From irritable skin, to unruly hair, use these 6 products to tackle the sweat to keep you glowing and ready to take on the day as you strut out of the studio.

1. KIEHL’s Ultra Facial Cleanser

After going through a phase of acne this spring, I decided to get a facial and the eastitician’s first guess of the cause was that I was not cleansing my face right after a workout. If you are the queen of lounging in workout clothes post class like me, don’t forget a travel sized face wash for a post-workout mini facial. KIEHL’s makes my favorite “Ultra Facial Cleanser”, which is good for all skin types and helps avoid clogged pores and acne which can form on your commute home from the spin studio.

2. KOPARI Deoderant

As KOPARI suggests, “Empower your pits” post-workout with their coconut oil scented deoterant. Not only is this my favorite aluminium-free natural deoterant but it glides on clear, avoiding the awkward white residue of other brands. Natural deoterant is a easy first switch to natural skin care, and KOPARI is a great place to start. I had trouble at first finding a brand that did not wear off after an hour of use but I found love in a hopeless place with KOPARI. To dive deeper into the world of natural deoterant and learn how to make the switch, check out this “Into the Gloss” article.

5. NUUN Hydration Tablets

If you are like me, sometimes you wish drinking water could be a little more fun and you would rather reach for that Gatorade than your Hydroflask. Keep your skin glowing and healthy by hydrating with a NUUN tablet in your water bottle. Step aside sugary artificial sports drinks, these tablets are low calorie and made from plant-based ingredients. With flavors like Blueberry Pomegranate these tablets make drinking water less a chore and more a treat!

3. Living Proof Dry Shampoo

Avoid sweaty, oily hair, that just loves sticking to your face with our favorite dry shampoo by Living Proof. This spray-on dry shampoo not only eliminates oil and sweat from a workout but is also adds volume. People will think you are post blow out not workout with this PHD (Perfect hair Day) dry shampoo!

4. Supergoop! Acai Fushion Lip Balm

After an intense spin, I leave the studio with dry, sometimes cracked lips. One of the first things I reach to post-workout is this Supergoop! Lip balm. With shea butter and a delicious acai taste, a layer of this balm will automatically nourish dehydrated lips. Each tube also containes SPF 30 protecting those now plump, kissable lips from the sun as you take on your day.

6. Apple Airpod headphones

Pop these wireless ear buds in after your post workout beauty regime for the post-freshen up hype session. Rock out to your favorite pump up artist (I am looking at you Beyonce) because you are now ready to slay the day.
